YellowScan is actively engaged in the European consortium Next-2Digits
Initiated in October, the Next-2Digits project brings together 11 companies spanning across Europe. In collaboration with GrapheneEU, this consortium is committed to advancing expertise in the graphene domain and disseminating knowledge to diverse stakeholders.
The main goal of this project is to pioneer the development of the next generation of sensors and imagers, leveraging the digital integration of 2D materials. The project is slated to run for a duration of 3 years and 3 months.
What is graphene?
Graphene is a material that is extracted from graphite and is made up of pure carbon, one of the most important elements in nature and which we find in daily objects like the lead of a pencil. Graphene stands out for its toughness, flexibility, lightness, and, notably, its exceptional conductivity.
YellowScan’s involvement:
A miniaturized LiDAR with an integrated graphene photodetector will be validated at TRL5 in an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to fulfil the requirements of long flight times and minimal energy consumption in advanced geo-mapping. In addition to technological innovation, YellowScan places a strong emphasis on achieving optimal performance.
